How to get to HABITAT BOHOL HIGHLAND NATURE RESORT in the town of Bilar on Bohol island.

From Tagbilaran Sea Port to Bilar is 40kms (about a 1hour drive).

From Panglao Airport to Bilar is 52kms

From Tubigon Sea Port to Bilar is 56kms

Options to get here:  We can help you with a Pre-booked driver to pick you up or a Pre-booked self-drive rental car.  Taxi is also an option on Bohol.  Normally found outside the main malls (ICM and BQ) in a set location, ask malls staff for directions to find taxi stand.

Bus or Vhire from Dao Station are the cheapest way to get to Bilar.

At this stage we can only accept Pesos cash payments and Gcash.  ATM machines are NOT reliable in the interior parts of Bohol. Although there is a money changer in the local Bilar market that can change most foreign money.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

From Tagbilaran sea port, to Dao bus station (across from ICM mall) in Tagbilaran, you can ride a tricycle.  At Dao bus station, you have a choice of Vhire, Aircon Bus, Reg Bus. They all leave about every 30mins or when fill. Select a bus/vhire that has a signboard "Carmen" and double check with the staff that it pass Loboc/Bilar.

From Tagbilaran to Bilar is 1.15hrs.  HIGHLAND is located along the highway about 3kms after the Man Made Forest/Tarsier Center.  Just ask the driver/conductor to drop you at the "butterfly garden" in Bilar. The entrance is marked with a sign board.

From Tubigon sea port, you can walk or take a tricycle, is about 800m from the port to the market center where the bus and Vhire are located. You can ride anything with a "Carmen" signboard. Vhire go when fill.  Vhire is about 50min, bus takes longer. The bus goes maybe every 1hr or when fill.  At Carmen, you have to change to a bus. From Carmen to Bilar is about 30mins.  Ride a bus marked "Tagbilaran", but be sure it is passing Bilar/Loboc and not going via Balihihan to Tagbilaran.  HIGHLAND is just 1km after the Bilar public market.  Just ask the driver/conductor to drop you at the "butterfly garden" in Bilar. The entrance is marked with a sign board.

Habitat Bohol HIGHLAND Nature Resort is the original home to butterfly conservation on Bohol.  Over 200 species of butterflies have been recorded in the grounds of HIGHLAND. Over 50 species of birds, and much more wildlife make HIGHLAND their home.

Bilar Township

You will not find a bank or McDonald's here but there is now a 7-11 and a small 24hr burger stand in the market area of Poblacion Bilar. The market is just 1km from HIGHLAND.

Getting around Bilar, you can rent a motor bike or a eco-friendly push bike.
